FOOD HAS THE POWER TO HEAL US
It has been said that food can be the greatest form of medicine or a slow poison to our body. What truth!
The average American consumes on average 152 pounds of SUGAR in a year. The impact here is extensive and the effects stretch to many areas of an individual’s overall wellness.
In regards to plants, researchers have found the greatest benefit to our body comes from eating 10 portions of fruit and vegetables every day. I would also recommend making sure you are eating organic, non-GMO fruits and vegetables. The difference lies in what you will not be consuming. No pesticides or genetically modified organisms, please.
The list is lengthy in regards to the extent of their negative impact but these will only serve to damage the microbiome in your gut. A large percentage of both your immune system and serotonin production take place here. Let’s keep our gut healthy. It’s vital for our overall wellness.
